Hey y'all, in preparation for my next long distance trip through Ireland I skate some routes outside of Berlin these days... just to get fit and to brush up my editing skills. So here's two slick videos I created:
The first one covers the so-called "Fläming Skate", a 100km tractor path repurposed for inline skaters and sunday bikers. Luckily you have the road mostly to yourself these days. It's great fun, have a look:
And here's one video I'm more proud of for the storytelling aspect of it. It covers the road from Polish boarder town Kostrzyn back to the Berlin suburb Erkner. This route is quite stunning, the woods and fields and lakes and all are a marvel to skate through! There's a lot of dead ends though... forcing you to walk if you don't navigate carefully. But hey. In my opinion, GPS just takes the excitement away (a bit); I prefer to go through a little adventure while I'm on the run.
