Hi, any UK long boarders out there, ? Specifically from the North of England ? I want to go from Fleetwood to south of Blackpool and wondered what the surface is like on the Promandes . If not, what's the east coast promenades like. Bridlington, Scarborough etc ?

hiya there, i live in York and have often skated the east coast promenades, I'm sorry to say that none of them are particularly out of this world, but maybe your best bet is Bridlington, its the widest so the will be a lot less human trafic then Scarborough, its also longer then Scarborough's and there is an beautiful mellow traffic free hill hill leading up to Sewerby just after the promenade ends in the north. as for the surface its all pretty good quality either smoth tarmack or fairly smooth brick. hope this helps buddy!

There is a vid on YouTube of a grumpy old cyclist following his wife on her bike going from Fleetwood to Star Gate ( south of Blackpool) . It's actually a good help as it shows how uneven the surfaces are . The best run looks like from Bispham to Star Gate. There is a dude who's been on this old forum that did the run on his longboard from Blackpool to Southport. Blackpool prom looks a good 5-7mile board trek

Awesome! Let us know, you could do a review of the journey or a wee write up of the trip for the site. nat
