Hi, I'm from England and just trying this LDP thing. So far not much success with modding my standard pintail with wedges and softer bushings, so I bought a cheap carve style board ( 29" Two Bare Feet) and I can now 'pump' . Ok it's a small board and slow going but it's helping me learn the basics of how to move my body etc. After a while I then tried pumping on my longer 40" drop through board which I found I could actually keep going, albeit very tiering . My drop through is modded slightly, I put the trucks under the deck and changed the bushings to softer ones. This mainly is my ultra carve longboard, as it felt super smooth and I could carve verry small circles. I think I've spent up all my toy money, so I'm just going to have to keep trying. I also have a 'drop down' board , do you think ''tis would be a good LDP deck ?

Oh , by the way, I'm 56 and have been powerkiting since 2000 and kite landboarding and kite buggying soon after. I recently took up long boarding for when there isn't any wind. I used to skateboard a little, back in 1975, but never really took to it. This time I have taken to 'land paddling' more. I don't do skate parks or fast down hill stuff, as falling hurts and older bodies take longer to recover from injuries.

Hello Simon! Welcome to the forum. Stoked to hear that you are getting back on the board. I'm looking at getting a paddle for sure. 30 years of pushing is catching up on me!
